Timberline Events

Timberline Events LLC was formed in January 2004 and is based in Englewood, Colorado.  Specializing in running relay races, our first event was the Wild West Relay in 2004, a 200-mile route from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs traveling through Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming.

As our number of relays grew, we created the Roads Less Traveled Relay Race Series, which now includes the 165-mile Flaming Foliage Relay in Colorado (since 2013 - a resurrection of the Outward Bound Colorado Relay route) and the the 52-mile Civil War Relay, a “sprint” relay between Eugene and Albany Oregon, celebrating the college football rivalry between the University of Oregon and Oregon State University.

In 2009, we added race timing to our services, forming Finish Line Timing. We started by offering timing to smaller community races using traditional, or tag-pull timing. With our investment in MyLaps disposable BibTag chip timing equipment, we are now able to assist larger races with their timing needs.

It was due to our enjoyment of timing high school cross country meets , and to further our philosophy of providing unique, high quality running events, that the Cross Country Clash, a series of citizen races on courses used by Denver area high schools for their XC meets, was created.

Timberline Events has a very good reputation and safety record.  We are known for our scenic and rural routes, and the high quality of the organization of our events.

The owner/race director is Paul Vanderheiden.
